The Government of Puducherry, in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens to participate in “Puducherry from the Lens of Locals”, a unique photography competition that aims to showcase the unexplored beauty, culture, and heritage of Puducherry through the eyes of its people.
Every corner of Puducherry holds a story — from serene beaches and lush greenery to vibrant streets, historical monuments, and cultural richness. This contest seeks to capture those hidden gems and unexplored places that often remain unseen by visitors but are cherished by locals.
Theme
• Unexplored Puducherry: Hidden Gems through Local Eyes
Participants are encouraged to submit original photographs of places that reflect Puducherry’s natural beauty, heritage, traditions, or daily life — especially those lesser-known to tourists.
Who Can Participate
• Open to all Indian citizens.
How to Participate
1. Register on the MyGov platform.
2. Upload your original photograph(s) showcasing unexplored or lesser-known places of Puducherry.
3. Provide a short description (50–100 words) about the photograph, location, and its significance.
4. Ensure that the submission is in JPEG/PNG format, not exceeding 4 MB in size.
Rewards
• The winning entries will receive the Appreciation Certificate.
Terms and Conditions
• Each participant may submit a maximum of 3 entries.
• The photograph must be original, unedited, and free from watermarks or logos.
• Plagiarised or AI-generated content will lead to disqualification.
• By submitting, participants agree to grant rights to the Government of Puducherry/MyGov for non-commercial use in promotions, publications, and awareness campaigns.
• The contest is open to all Indian citizens.
• Only one submission is allowed per participant. Multiple entries will not be accepted.
• Participants can take part in the contest by registering on MyGov (www.mygov.in).
• The entry must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, and must not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• The entry must not contain any provocative, objectionable, or inappropriate content.
• The participating and winning entries would be the intellectual property of the organizer, and the participants shall not exercise any rights over them.
• Organizers reserve the right to reject entries that do not adhere to the guidelines or are found to be inappropriate or non-original.
• The decision of the jury will be final and binding.
• Entries would be judged based on elements of creativity, originality, composition, technical excellence, simplicity, artistic merit, visual impact, and how well they communicate the intended message.
• Should any dispute or difference arise, the decision of the organizers shall be final in the matter and binding on both parties.
• Selected winners may be contacted for verification or clarification.
• Organizers have the right to cancel the activity at any time without assigning any reason.
• The winners will be declared via the winner announcement on https://blog.mygov.in/.
• All disputes/legal complaints are subject to the jurisdiction of Puducherry only. The parties themselves will bear expenses incurred for this purpose.
• By participating in the contest, the participants shall abide by all the terms and conditions of the contest, including any amendments or further updates.
• The terms and conditions henceforth shall be governed by Indian laws and the judgments of the Indian judicial system
